Rent the AJA HA5-4K HDMI-to-SDI converter
The AJA HA5-4K brings supported HDMI sources into an SDI signal chain. Its four 3G-SDI outputs support multi-link 4K workflows, making it a useful rental option when your destination equipment expects quad-link SDI.
Plan the converter around your source and receiving equipment. For a 4K link, confirm the destination’s pixel mapping, frame rate and SDI configuration, then include those details with your rental request. Output count alone does not establish compatibility.

Share the complete signal flow with HRE, including playback or camera sources, switching, recording and monitoring. Tell us how many converters and cable runs you need, whether you require backup units and what technical support should be included in the quote.

Does the HA5-4K output single-link 12G-SDI?
No. The HA5-4K has four 3G-SDI outputs and supports multi-link 4K transport. If your destination requires a single 12G-SDI connection, identify that requirement when requesting your rental.
Which 4K mapping should I use?
The converter supports 2SI and Square Division (Quadrant). Choose the mapping accepted by your receiving equipment and keep link assignments consistent throughout the signal chain.
Does it upscale HD to 4K?
Plan this unit for HDMI-to-SDI interface conversion. Do not assume it will upscale HD sources to 4K. Include any resolution-scaling requirements so HRE can help specify the appropriate processing.
Can it convert HDCP-protected HDMI?
AJA lists HDCP decryption as unsupported. Confirm that your source provides a compatible, unencrypted HDMI signal for the SDI workflow.
What should I send for a rental quote?
Send your dates, quantity, source and destination models, resolution, frame rate, color format and required SDI mapping. Include cable lengths, power, backup and support needs so HRE can scope the package.
