HRE’s AJA Ki Pro Ultra 12G rental package gives your production two professional recorder/player units with recording media, a media dock and audio breakout cabling. Capture a program feed, plan a backup recording or record multiple HD sources for post-production.
Each recorder operates in either single-channel 4K/UltraHD mode or multi-channel HD mode. HRE helps plan the recording format, codec, channel count, audio routing and media capacity around your show.

What is included in the Ki Pro Ultra 12G rental?
The HRE package includes two Ki Pro Ultra 12G recorders, four 2TB PAK SSD drives, one PAK media drive dock and two multi-channel XLR audio snakes.
Can I record four 4K feeds on one recorder?
No. Each unit records a single 4K/UltraHD feed in single-channel mode. Multi-channel mode supports up to four HD channels per unit. Tell HRE your source count and format so we can plan the correct recording configuration.
How much recording time does the media provide?
Recording time depends on the codec, resolution, frame rate, audio and number of channels. Send your show duration and delivery requirements so HRE can help calculate capacity and plan media changes and offloads.
Can the two recorders be used for main and backup recording?
Yes, the two units can be configured to record the same program feed for a main and backup workflow, with the appropriate signal distribution. Tell us your redundancy requirements so we can scope the connections and recording plan.
Do I need genlocked sources for multi-channel HD recording?
AJA added genlock-free multi-channel recording in firmware v2.0. Sources still need compatible recording formats, and genlock-free recording should not be treated as a guarantee of inter-camera synchronization. HRE can confirm firmware and timing requirements for your setup.
What should I send for a recorder rental quote?
Send your show dates and location, source count, resolution and frame rate, preferred recording codec, show duration, audio requirements and backup-recording needs. Include your media-offload schedule and any onsite support requirements.
